Ok im going to build myself a new gaming machine but Im not sure if I want to get a motherboard that supports pci-express or agp slots. Hell I dont even know what pci-express really means anyway. Should I get a motherboard and video card with pci-express or agp.

What is the difference between AGP and PCI-Express and should I get PCI-Exe or is AGP still going to be good enought for gaming for a while.

PCI has a limited selection.. no 6800's... Not sure if the 6600 is near the equal of the 6800's either.

PCI-e will have greater bandwith in both directions of of the bus (AGP = single direction). Get an ATI x800xt/pe PCI-e...you won't regret it.

Agp is parallel, pci-e is serial, agp has a theoretical max bandwidth of ~2.1gb/s, pci-e has a theoretical max bandwidth of ~4gb/s.
