OK, I'm going to be buying an SLI system in the coming months and it has come down to either the Asus or the DFI. The Asus scores points because the graphics cards are spaced 2 slots apart, and it has 3 pci slots. With the Asus I'd use 1 pci slot for a raid card and 1 slot for a 56k modem. I simply can't get broadband in my area, so I do need the modem.
Now with the DFI it only has 2 pci slots, but of course one would be covered by the graphics card cooling, so I'd need to use the only available pci slot for the raid card. The DFI board has a PCIe slot right up at the top, above the graphics cards that would be perfect for the modem. The question is, does anyone know of any PCIe 56k modems that are available?
As I said, I can't get broadband in my area, so please don't suggest it, you'll just be wasting my time
