pci-e vs AGP

Okay so I've been trying to find the differences with video card that uses the pci-e slot vs the agp slot, if i understand the pci-e slot runs a lot faster and better, what kind of difference in video cards are we talking about....

what would be the overall benifit of running through the pci-e and will they be noticable...just for a point of comparison im using the Nvidia Geforce FX5900 XT so if you can help me understand this new technology please try to do so...if you can't thanks anyways!

The PCI-E card won't run much faster, if at all. Not yet. However, in a year or two PCI-E will most likely be faster than AGP due to the fact that PCI-E is faster, simply.

Well, that's kind of a maybe.
AGP as it stands isn't even running at full potential. So in order for PCI-E to be faster, it has to run at IT's Full potential. If it goes at AGP speeds and never pushes it, doesn't matter
