I wonder if anyone could point me to a decent pci-e mini to USB adaptor.
there are some on ebay, but i can't see any circuits on them. Do they even work?

are there pci-e mini to USB 3.0 ones by any chance ?

I contacted the first company (Global American) and the price for one card is $90.

The second company (IOInterconnect) won't sell to end users.

The one on ebay has no chips on it because it's not a USB controller card. Mini-PCIe has a built in USB port for data. That card on ebay is simply taking mini-PCIe's built in port and giving you a usable connector for it.

I've contacted the first company I listed and ordered one of their USB3.0 mini-PCIe card. you can remove it from the PCI bracket and place the PCB with the port anywhere in your case using double sided tape or velcro.

please let me know how it works.
i found a local company which carries them. Maybe they sell me one.
