Hi all

I need some extra 6+8 pin cables for my EVGA G2 1300W and possibly for Corsair 1200i.
It seems really hard to find and buy those cables individually instead of buying a sleeved set, which cost a lot and most of them I don't need.

Is it true that different brands may have different wiring style, therefore I can't just use those generic ones found on ebay or Amazon?
If yes, does it mean those Y splitters may not work as well?

Also, how can you check the compatibility?
I noticed on the pins are square shapped while some are circle-ish. Will it be ok if I can find some brandless ones that matches these shapes?

Thank you for the help. And if you know somewhere that I can buy those cables listed above, please let me know.

I'd get the cables from the manufacturer, sometimes the cables are pinned differently.

Though, if you can verify that they are pinned the same, I don't see what harm it could do. Just make sure the wire is the correct guage and the the socket is pin identical to the originals.
