So, my raid controller won't fit into my 2U server. The metal piece that you screw onto the case is too long. Were do I find shorter pieces and also, what are they called?

Thanks in Advance.

The term you are looking for is low-profile bracket, but you may not be able to find a cover that matches your card exactly unless you call the manufacturer.

This is an example of a bracket kit for video cards:

Can you give me the brand and model of your raid controller, and tell me if there is a port on the back the card (or are they all internal)?

Thanks default!

The raid controller is the LSI MegaRAID SAS 9260-8i. I'll call the manufacturer to see what they have.

Oh, according to this picture, there are no rear ports on that card. That means you can use any bracket you want, if you don't mind superfluous holes (the bracket kit I linked above will have video-output holes). But if you want a solid bracket with no holes in it,. I'm not sure where you can get that.

If you insist on the solid bracket, your best bet is the manufacturer.

EDIT: found one place that will make them for you, but the cost is outrageous unless you're buying at-least 10. But then I figure you might have a server room full of these things, so the bulk requirement might not be so bad. But you might want to call them up and make sure they can build you something exactly to-spec.
