I'm thinking of change the ram for the desktop. It currently has Kingston Value Ram PC3200 CL3 (It sucks, but it was cheap)

I am looking at either Kingston HyperX PC3200 KHX3200A/512 400MHz, DDR Non-ECC CL2 DIMM or PC3500 (The problem is I don't know if my motherboard supports PC3500)

or..

2X 512MB PC3200 222 - Black Hi Perf Level II

if your board supports 3200 it should take 3500. if your going to OC i would get the 3500 just becuase it gives you a little more haed room, but if your not gonna OC just get the 3200. go with the hyperx, corsair, or ocz

if you get the kingston hyperx pc3500 you're most likely going to get ch-5 chips

these things run like total crap. at 217mhz they wont even run at a CAS latency of 2, only 2.5. and half the time they arent stable at that

this is at 2.8 volts

the 'fastest' i can get them to run at is 212 mhz at 2-3-2-11

I don't plan to overclock even if I wanted to I couldn't because my mobo is by Intel lol

So I guess Mushkin or Crucial...
