I have been trying to figure out a way to make a remote for my computer. Not a multimedia one but one to turn it on. So for instance if i am coming home when i am downstairs i can hit a button on my remote and by the time i get to my computer it is on. It is kind of like the remote start they have for cars.
I know your probably thinking "wow this guy is lazy" and you know what i am! If you have any idea how to do this or know someone who has any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Why not just leave it on? Isn't it better to leave one on 24/7 than to turn it on and off all the time?

fry's used to sell something for that......it's a PCI card that plugs in and turns stuff on via this gay looking remote. $20................google it.

Well since the xbox uses momentary switches just like most pcs do it should not be hard to figure out if you really want to make your own.
