Pc Problems

hello there.
i having major probs with my 2nd pc.
it seems to restarts or freeze at ramdom. mostly when just sitting idle in windows.
i have replaced the power supply and swapped/replaced ram over but still gettin the same probs occuring.

even when i shut down the pc the light on the case is still on like it's in a standby mode ?

i have pulled apart the pc and and stated from the start, installing one thing at a time and same prob.

celeron 2ghz
256 ddr 400
soltek sl-86spe
palit gf4 mx440 forceware drivers 56.72
win xp pro sp1

any ideas ?

ok just as i was writing this the pc rebooted with i was in sandra.
then the consistancy checker 4 hdd came up. started up sandra angain and got bsod.

now i know it cant b the ram cuz it's a stix out of my main pc and i never had probs with it.

im running out of ideas....

you can try turning off automatic restart on system failure in the startup & recovery options...

my comp > properties > advanced > startup&recovery

that may fix the random restarts...


run adaware and see if u have any of that spyware trash on ur comp, a lot of thoes freeze up computers.
