Is there any performance hit from loading data off the partition of a hard drive isn't the same one the OS is on?

For example, in my next rig I'll be tossing in a Raptor for my boot drive, so it will have the OS and all my games on it (seperate hard drive for data storage). I plan on splitting the Raptor into 2 partition, 10GB for the OS/Drivers/etc..., the rest for apps/games.
