Ok, so I think my mobo is the culprit of my pc not starting, however just to be sure I want to do the paper clip trick on my PSU, a BFG 1000W. My question is that will I harm my peripherals, mainly my graphics cards, by leaving them plugged in and starting the PSU without power to the mobo? Or how does this work? I have 4 pin fan, and HDs, that will pull load from the PSU without the mobo being powered...
 
Sometimes you need to put a load on the power supply to get it to work correctly, just keep in mind if it does not work for you.
