I just found this review of the new Panasonic AE7000:

Having long been a player in the projector game, Panasonic recently launched the AE7000 which is their first 3D and 1080p capable projector. One of the biggest selling points with the AE7000 is its new, super high speed LCD image processing engine that supports a whopping 480Hz refresh rate (which is almost double the speed of the next fastest projector imaging technology released to-date - if the online hype is to be believed).

I wonder what this would be like for 3D surround gaming!

Forget 120Hz, this has 480Hz... So enough for 240FPS in 3D mode...
