Panaflo 120mm vibration problems

I recently installed a medium output 120mm panaflo on my SI-120 and it has a vibration problem. While it runs completely silent and seems to work fine, I can feel a noticeable vibration when I touch the fan. In fact, it is strong enough that I can feel a slight vibration on other components such as my graphics card and mobo. The cheap, lightweight, LED fan that I was using doesn’t produce any vibration. Is this vibration normal and acceptable for a fan as large and heavy as the panaflo, or should I be worried?

Could this vibration damage anything? My hard drives seem to be sufficiently isolated and I can’t feel any vibration on them.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you're getting reverb in the case which can be annoying. My XP-90 had a high speed 92MM fan on it which created quite a bit of vibration and I'm sure it's the same way with anybody using a higher speed fan.

do you have those little strips of silicon vibration dampners between the fan and heatsink?

I had the exact same fan on an XP-120. Same thing. No problems whatsoever. Don't worry about it. :)

Don't expect the ratating assembly to be perfectly balanced on a mass produced relatively inexpensive plastic fan.

Yep, I am using the little rubber dampers. They also do a great job of holding the fan in place.
Thanks for the reassurance. I figured that it wouldn’t cause any problems, but I wanted to make sure. I am still impressed with the size, weight, and quality of the panaflo.
