what would happen, if i just bought some spray paint, and put it on my case w/out any prep work?(sanding)

also, since the inside of my case is already bare, can i just spraypaint that?

Depending on what the case is made of it might stick, but not for a long time. It will also be more prone to getting broken/scraped/flaked off if you are not very careful with it.

You would still run into the same problem on the inside of your case. Probably not as bad, but the end results would be the same.

anytime you paint a bare metal surface, or a semi-smooth surface with spraypaint expecialy when on metal. you really need to prep the area before painting; sand the area, prime it, sand the primer, prime again, lightly sand again (basicly so the surface is smooth yet a bit roughed up so the paint has something to stick to) paint, sand down paint almoast to primer, paint again, lightly sand (so its not bumpy/and ucky) spray with clear coat, wetsand again, spray again with clear coat, and do a final clear coat so you have about 3-5 clear coat layers on your case.

Really the thicker your final product is, with clear coats and paint the more it will shine, and resist scratching.

good luck dood

^ it will give you that showroom finish that everyone is dying to have. after your final clear coat make sure to uber wetsand the clearcoat with a rubbing coumpound/wax to give u an uber glossy final product :D and it will mostlikly resist scratching without a problem, even somewhat deep scratches will be easier to get out with multi layers of paint, and clear coats.
