I want to know If I can buy a regular P4 to replace the celeron in my note book which has a MPGA 478 socket. And do the desktop p4/Celerons use a MPGA 478 Socket also
 
yes, itll probobly work but you have to worry about the extra heat that a mobile p4 would generate.
 
it will aslo drine your bat faster becas it ueses more power
