Overscan issue EDID not correct

Trying to fix an overscan issue when using my TV to stream videos.

Normally half an inch is missing on each side. The start menu is off screen and on the other side the other half of the windows clock is cut off.

I read somewhere that inputting the correct edid into an edid override flag in windows 7 will fix this issue. The problem is I don't know what to put as the binary data for the new registry entry.

I took a screenshot of all the info for you guys to see, but I need to know what to put in the registry flag so everything will display correctly when streaming movies from pc to tv via HDMI. The native res of the TV is 1366x768 16:9 while the native res of my samsung 226bw is 1680x1050 16:10.

The TV itself believes its using 1080p eventhough its only a 720p TV. It displays 100% correct at 1024x768, but its doesn't show properly at 1360x768. However when I bump it all the way up to 1080p resolution its shows more, but still has a gap on the left and right sides. The top of firefox close box is missing from the screen.

You'll notice it clearly says 1366x768 as the native res + all the other details. The monitor info applet shows only 1024x768 for some reason.

I would love to get this overscan issue fixed so I can watch movies properly from my GTX 260 to my TV.
 
AFAIK all HD tv's have to be able to display 1080i, so that must be the 1080 you notice (look at the refresh rate, it oughta be half the standard).

And well i wish i could help you, i have a similar problem where if i connect my tv with HDMI i can only choose properly 720p or 1080i, but if i try 1360*768 i get the same issue and ATi//AMD were "so smart" that they disable the over/underscan options if your resolution is the native >.<

Ugh the solution i was gonna recommend doesn't seem to exist for your case, looking at your tv it doesn't have vga//dvi input, that is what i use on mine, this link is the best i can offer you and some good luck wish:

On my Hitachi branded TV, and my parents Vizio branded TV, you have to disable over-scan in the TV settings. This is done on most all brands of TVs because most all brands of cable boxes have garbage on the top of the screen used for Closed Captioning and guide data. By default, most TVs are set to over-scan so this data is hidden, and thus prevent a lot of confused customers from calling their tech support lines claiming to have damaged TV sets.

You can find the setting usually in the "display" settings on the TV. They can call the "picture mode" a lot of different things (check your manual), but I think in the case of my Hitachi I had to set the mode to something along the lines of "True" in order for it to turn off over-scan.

EDIT:

Alright just checked my Hitachi TV. The aspect ratio setting needs to be set to "Full" in order to get rid of any over-scanning. The other options such as Auto, 16:9 and 4:3 all over-scan. My TV's native resolution is 1080P, in case anyone is wondering.
