If I up my multiplier from 11 to 11.5 or 12 nothing happens. The settings save ok in my bios but wcpuid, system and sandra are all trelling me that the cpu speed is still 2200 and no scores are higher in benchmarks. I cleared the cmos and tried again but still the problem remains. I also just tried upping the fsb but I just get a long beep then a pause then another long beep forcing me to clear the cmos again to boot. Anyone know why I cant overclock my cpu?

Abit NF7
3200 athlon (barton)
9800pro
1GB corsair pc3200
 
the multiplier isnt locked on 3200's. Like i said the fsb gets me nohthing except a beep at boot.

you sure? i thought all desktop bartons were locked.

as for the fsb, how much are u upping it? too much = errors
