Hey guys, I finally decided I'd give NFS:U2 another shot so I've been playing it like all afternoon(since about 1:00PM ET), and in the past half hour once it locked up and then my computer randomly rebooted while I was driving. So while it was rebooting I went to the BIOS and checked the system monitor and the CPU temp was like 61*C, which is more then I normally see it running at. So my question is, is it possible that its overheating and causing these lockups? Its just running the stock HSF and stock thermal pad.

The system is not newly built by any means (specs in sig) the newest addition was the 2nd 120GB HDD. And I did have to move one disk out of direct air flow because of my video card, but generally Seagates run pretty cool anyway, and NFS isn't a real HDD intence game I would think...

All suggestions are appreciated.

couple things: if your computer overheated and rebooted, i'm pretty sure your bios makes a couple beeping noises on startup to indicate that it had overheated. Also, my computer hits 70 in bios (65 on speedfan) on loads and doesn't reboot....i don't think any computer actually throttles and forces shut down until it hits 75-80.
