how safe is it to run overdrive??? also what are good core temps for a GPU??

are there any aftermark HSF that are good for the 9800XT.. i know the VGA silencer doesn't work.. or so i've been told

Its perfectly safe more or less to run overdrive, i mean the companies support it and its within warranty. The MAX overclock it hits is like 3% anyway, which is nothing. Rivatuner will get you better results but for safety sakes if your worried just use overdrive. I dunno bout temps but the ATI Silencer 3 fits the 9800xt, so i'd go with that. But then.....if your going to do that, it voids your warranty anyway so you may aswell use rivatuner and go for max overclock
