Well..not exactly n00b just noob to pentium 4 systems. :p

I have the following

abit is7 motherboard
pentium 4 2.8ghz hyperthreaded (Running at 3.2 ghz)
1 gig of twinmos pc3200 ddr (4x256 dimms)
radeon 9500 pro flashed to 9700 running currently at 340\298
Dram ratio 5:4
cpu core 1.6500
ddr voltage 2.65
agp 1.6

Cas 3
prchrge 7
ras to cas 3
ras prchrge 3

Tried running 3d mark on it and got some lame ass score of like 3700, i know i should be at least hitting around 6.5-7k or so.

Im pretty new to p4 systems so im not entirely sure whats the best dram ratio and ram timings, obviously for ram the lower the better , think its more the dram ratio that has me wondering.

Anyone with a similar give me some pointers or whatever? At the moment ive only a stock p4 cooler soon to be getting a different one, ive got a vga cooler on order for my radeon as well.

I can't help for i don't overclock (yet), but uumm wow.. 3700 is a lame ass score? lol... i got a 2100......

First of all buddy, remember...you have a 9500 @ 9700. Not exactly a blazing card, but certainly fast. Make sure in the bios your NB Strap is at 800. Secondly, make sure AGP Aperture is 128. Next, raise your ram voltage to the max (2.85?) and set your FSB/MEM ratio to 1:1 and see if it can handle this. Also, in case you didn't know, running four dimms in DC does cause a slight slight performance hit. Try what I said above, and if it's stable, see about getting your memory timings a tad tighter. Finally, run AdAware and delete any spyware or hijacking code.
