I know with SB-E you could over clock the 3820 with FSB Strap and turbo multiplier, is this possible with an i5-4570?

Thanks !

Not really...at least not much. My understanding is that the base clock can be changed, but SB and on won't go very far with that. 102-104MHz tops. The multiplier is where it's at.

^ true dat.

On desktop models, only the K versions allow (restricted) BCLK and multiplier overclocking. The non-K multiple bin over stock overclocking was removed on Haswell. Sux.

Check on the motherboard specs. Asrock had an overclocking feature for non-K i5's that overclocked through the turbo boost feature. I don't know if they carried that over to the Haswell platform.
