ok so i got this nf7-s v2 and a 1700+ Tbred a year ago past June and its been sitting at 2Ghz since then. ive played around a few times to push it further but never had any luck.

then just last night i gave it another go after many months and have now hit a stable 2.3Ghz. score i think but i want more... *g*

its at 200x11.5 @ 1.675v just now and the twinmos w/ winbond DDR400 is at 2-3-3-5 running @ 2.8v

wondering if there is much else i can do. im looking to replace this whole system soon anyways so ill do pretty much anything to it.
 
nForce2 boards seem to like higher row active delay memory timings, in the range say of 8 to 11 ( so you'd be at 2-3-3-11, for instance).
There are also about a million hacked BIOS available for this board, people are claiming stability (on air) in the 240-250 FSB range using variants of the D25 BIOS.

Abit boards aggressively undervolt the CPU....your BIOS setting of 1.675v is probably delivering closer to 1.62 or so to the chip. Almost certainly you will have to go into the 1.75 range to achieve stability once you start exceeding 200FSB.
 
thanks for the reply, will these bios hacks be easy to find? and are there any specific ones i should be looking out for?

also if i wanted to seriously overclock this board would you recommend looking into volt mods for the board, or is there not much point with me not having watercooling, the temperatures might be too much?

more questions heh :)
