When I try to OC past 2.7GHZ I get artifacting. It shows the Vista loading screen, after that All I get are white squares/lines across the screen.

Any Suggestions? Would like to hit 3.0 at least.

Temps are EXTREMELY Low...

Was doing 9x300. Worked alright. Tried going to 9x305...and it started doing it.

Had to reseat card, and lower the overclock to 2.6GHZ to get it to stop. Before I was running 2.7GHZ Smooth with no issues, but I really want to shoot for 3GHZ

Add 15º C to Speedfans temp or get Coretemp because Q6600 has a Tjunction of 100º C as opposed to 85º C.
So you would be idling at ~39º C.

Thanks for the tip...

Thought I was running REALLY cool for a AC Freezer 7....

Will upgrade it soon :). When I upgrade my case I will upgrade the Heatsink. Better cooling + better heatsink = LOW temps. Then i can attack higher OC's.

Not sure why you would be getting artifacts from overclocking your CPU. Do you have your PCI-e freq locked at 100? There might be some other issues playing into that. More info is needed to be sure though.

Screenshots of CPUZ tabs, pics of bios screens, detailed description of all your components.

lock your pci bus at 100. that's what's holding you down, and possibly damaging you vid card

One other question I had was is there a power saver option with my motherboard? Because when I am just sitting at the PC with CPUZ open the multiplier drops to 6. Then When I start doing things it jumps back to 9.

yep, eist and c1e. leave them in place if you are stable. i tried disabling them, and all i got for my trouble was hotter idle temps. you could also move all your fans to 12v molex connectors, rather than off the board connectors, which will run the fans faster, it may give you a little better cooling.

Yeah I seem to be running pretty good.

u should easily get 3 ghz. what fsb are u running? i have the same set up as you, except im using gskill ram. im trying to hit 400 fsb but it's not letting me. can u hit 400 fsb?

You might have a FSB hole. I have no problems going 400+ FSB, but others encounter problems betwen like 350-420. Doesn't really matter, you won't notice much of a real world difference betwen 3.0 and 3.4Ghz. At least I didn't. 3.6 I saw some improvements, although not much and it wasn't worth the heat generated. 3.0 runs everything and will extend the life of my equipment as I don't have to overvolt anything.
