Overclocking a 5900SE with Coolbits

So I'm having a bit of trouble overclocking the memory on my eVGA 5900SE. The stock speeds on the card are 400/700. I run 3DMark2003 to get the card warmed up and then I hit auto-detect (coolbits), and it puts the card at 455/815. So I save the settings and reboot the computer. I start a game and when I'm done playing I go back to see the settings and the memory is 700 again. I figure it overclocked it too much, so I try lower, and lower, and lower, and it won't even work at 715. I do actually remember getting it to stay at 800 for a day or so.

The card has ramsinks on it. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a bad overclocker? It's completely stable and I'm getting no artifacts.

edit: Also, I've tried overclocking with RivaTuner and the same thing happens. Does it have something to do with the "Apply settings at startup" checkbox?? I seem to remember something about this.

I sort of have the same problem. No matter what I overclock to when ever I restart I have to re overclock as it is back to stock settings. Just the memory that is.
Now some times I can go 2 or 3 days and settings will stay and other times every boot has to be redone. I been figuring it was a driver problem but hey I am still new to this stuff so who knows

oh well, im gonna upgrade to the 9900 when it comes out in the summer anyways.

What drivers? The 53.03's do that, it's fixed with 56.64.

yeah i had problems with the 56.56 drivers, but these 56.64s are holding the overclock.
