Ive recently decided that i want to overclock my old 1.33 Althon TBird, but since i got it in a Compaq computer like 3 years ago, will i be able to overclock it at all??

thanks

well is it still in the Compaq or is it in a new motherboard? I'm sure the old pencil trick would work if its not in the compaq. Hell, I just acquired a 1.33 t-bird for myself from an upgrade. unfortunately for me I have a kt7-raid so real 133 fsb isn't supported so I can only get it up to 1.44 (111x13 - mb multpilier only goes to 13 :( ) I'm sure you'll have no problems

dont expect to get much out of it anyway even if you can clock it... you could get an old kt7a motherboard off ebay (doesnt take ddr) which should get the most from it, 1.5 maybe

I only seen those 1.33ghz t-birds go to 1.55ghz... Maybe yours will go higher. :)

sorry im a noob, but what is the old pencil trick?

btw its still got the motherboard that came with the compaq:-\...but it has ddr so i dont know what kinda motherboard it is
