Overclock 6200 Help!

yes...umm i have a 3d Fuzion geforce 6200...and wants to overclock my video because i want to increase my fps in CS Source...first of all..i already have coolbits registered..and i have riva tuner.....

I dont know but....i putted my core clock to 355 MHz...and whwnever i play cs source...i get these black stuff all over the place...but hwnwever i put it to 353 its fine...why cant i overclock higher?...i saw some people even go over 400 MHz with their GF 6200....well i can only do that to my Memory Clock which is 523 right now...i tried unlocking 4 extra pipelines..but my video card cant do it..guys help me...i need to raise my core clock? why is it like this...

Back OT, not all 6200s are cherry picked. You might need to pick up a very cheap aftermarket cooler on Newegg (it'd be a lot better than the stock HSF.) Also for CS:S, increasing FPS, I'd recommend using Casey's Config.
 
Black everywhere (and distorted environments) is a typical graphical corruption seem when a video card errors in a Source engine game. As Stryker said, getting a better cooler (does yours have a fan or is it passive?) will allow you to take the card further. If you dont want to spend the extra cash, or even in addition to getting a new heatsink, software tweaking is always good. It's also a good thing that the Source engine takes so kindly to it :D.
 
yes..i have a fan..and can u give me a website that shows how to tweak ?
 
www.tweakguides.com has a great guide on tweaking the Source engine (its for Half Life 2, but the tweaks apply to CS:S as well). Also, casey's config which stryker linked to in post #2 is a neat little file that should help raise your FPS a good bit.
 
hey..i need a config that is pure performance...they said casey's config is balanced between performance and IQ....i need a pure performance one..does anyone know any?
