Outlook express wont stop trying to send something

ook, i have been using outlook express for my email for a couple of years..and ive never had this problem...it started when i tried to send my friend a big file...it started to send, and i think i figured it was too big to send in an email, so i mustve hit cancel or something...but now everytime i open up outlook it still says that its trying to send the message...i can hit "cancel" and it will go away for the rest of the time that its open until i try to send an email...then it will come up again saying that its trying to send like 6 emails (the number of emails has grown because of me trying to send emails) ,and i cant get it to go away...ive tried logging out of my account, and then logging back in, ive tried exiting...im not sure what else i can do...

well if anyone knows of a way to reset it so it wont be trying to send my emails or anything to fix this...please let me know..

Usually if an email fails to send it will be kept in the OUTBOX of your email client to try again.

Can you open the outbox folder and delete the message from there?
