Opteron 170 Cooling

Would it be worth it to setup a watercooling loop to get good overclocks of 2.6 or higher out of an opteron 170 or should i stick to the zalman 9500?

I got mine to 2.6 on air with no voltage adjustments. YMMV, but I don't think you'd need water to reach 2.6. In fact, you could probably get up to 2.8 on air with decent temperatures. Especially with the CNPS9500.

Well max operating temp is 65C, I believe, but I personally feel "scared" if it goes above 50C.
