Forgive me for starting a thread on a topic that has probably been beat to death but after too many 'adult beverages' I guess I'm just stupid-
I would just like opinions / experiences with the Thermalright line of heatsinks.
In particular- just wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade from an SLK-947U to an SP94, or the newer XP-90. My current temps are approx. 41 idle, and Prime95 breaks 60.
I saw the XP-120 but I am worried about capacitor and chipset fan interference.

Thanks.

You already have a nice HS, i dont think you would gain anything by swapping. You could always add a more powerful fan or switch to AS5 if you dont use that already. You may just be at the point where its time to switch to water cooling! :D

Im quite happy with my 948 though, i dont think i'll be changing for a long time.

Right now I'm using AsII. I did consider water cooling, but I'm a bit of a p***y- I keep hearing it's not a question of if it will leak, but when. I guess my temps are 'ok', but I'm just wanting to get that extra few degrees cooler.

Thanks.

On the fan-
you're right- at present I'm using an Enermax adjustable fan ( set on high ), would probably do better with a more 'butch' fan.
