Would an ATI Fire GL X1 128MB make a good gaming card? Why exactly are they so pricey for a 9700 core? Thanks in advance for your input! ;)
 
Wrong place to post, you should of posted in video cards. Anyways though it would be that same performance as a 9700. Why its so expensive is it's for professional CAD engineers, so even though it will play games fine, it more for the CAD person and thats why its so expensive.
 
It's a card sprinkled with PR hype, marinated in different name and stickers, and well cooked in overpricing.

After they're done, nVidia and Ati claim their 3D profressional cards are made for CAD stuff because well... they said it.

The core isn't faster.. the memory's the same. Just the PR Hype imo. I welcome someone with more info to prove me wrong. :)
 
HUH? :confused: I must be lost but I could swear the room said Video Cards/ATI Flavor??? Thanks for the info though. LOL ;)
