My current Mobo (GA-K8VNXP) has two onboard lan connections, Im using one to connect to
my cable ISP (via Linksys Router).

Would it be possible to share my cable connection using the other lan connection on my mobo??

Any details of uses for the extra lan connection would be appreciated.. :)

If you have a router then why do you need to do it through your pc, thats what routers are for.

Sorry, I was responding to the post that I quoted in which you just asked if you could. As far as other uses, you could hook it up to another network so that your computer is on both networks. You could use it to make your computer into a router of sorts to route between networks. Not really sure what you are looking for here. It's just a second ethernet port that you can use however you wish.
