Howdy folks,
I have recently dug up an Olympus Pen EED that belonged to my grandfather.
This is a half frame camera with automatic exposure and a fast F1.7 lens. Everything appears functional, slight corrosion on the battery contact and the lens is dirty, I'll be cleaning it off and dropping in a roll of Ilford 400 to take it for a test drive this evening.
Should be interesting to see the results from this 30+ year old camera (manufactured 1967-1972) with modern film.
As a hobby I've always been into the digital photography, I have little experience with traditional cameras. However my digicam's sensor just broke out of warranty, so this appears to be a sign that I need to explore film
This camera should produce quality pictures and allow me to learn how to better frame my shots, something I was never quite as careful about when I knew I could use photoshop to crop and even simulate depth of field.
I'm probably going to have to save up for a Nikon Coolscan V ED film scanner if I get serious about shooting film now..
