Anyone own the subject HDTV? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889022029

It's the perfect size for my TV case (limited to 37.5" wide). It will be primarily used for watching TV through a cable box and DVDs/Xbox/Wii. This would replace my Toshiba 30" CRT HDTV-ready tv.

(I already know it is 1366x768).

If you are going to spend that kind of money, get the 37 inch westy. It's 1080p and its only 100-200 dollars more.

I use mine for TV, Xbox, and Wii game play. No complaints with either system hooked up to the TV. I did some research on another forum and determined for that size the resolution would be perfect. Sure I could get 1080p but how much content will I actually push and will it actually matter for that TV size? I would think it would start to come into play for a 40"+ TV.

I have it. I think the picture on it is good (it is factory calibrated so it is good out of the box), but I have had some issues. The sound is often out of sync with the picture. There is an adjustment for this in the menu, but it is annoying to have to do and doesn't always fix it exactly. I also had a problem with the sound on mine, but it went away when I reset the settings. I haven't updated the firmware yet, but it is user updateable. There are also little things that make it seem cheaply made. Things like the gap between the screen and the bezel or needing to hold down buttons for longer than usual, etc. I'm not sure how much of a step up it is from their 3 series.

I can't really recommend it or not without seeing the competition. I do have experience with my friend's 1080P Sceptre for normal Xbox 360 and HD content, I don't think the picture is any better. I haven't done a side by side, though, and I have only viewed 720p and 1080i on it. Oh yeah, when I watch his I have usually just consumed several beers.

I have the 42" version which I love. I had to upgrade the firmware a couple times but it is great. The only problem is that my composite inputs dont work. I didnt do anything about it because composite isnt worth sending the set back for. It is pixel perfect!!
