Which of the three containers are the best: AVI/OGM/MKV

I am not using it for standalone DVDs; just for PC. And don't require extremely good quality of sound. So that leaves out AVI.

Down to OGM and MKV. I want all my videos to be a single format.

I want to be able to have good quality of video. Not very demanding on sound, but they have to be well-compressed. And very flexible with subtitles.

I don't think I've ever seen MKV, but I've used AVI and OGM a LOT. OGM is better by a longshot. Whereas AVI is just the video, OGM may come with two or more different audio tracks, very useful for anime. Another great thing about OGM for anime is that you can style the subtitles. I always make my subtitles yellow with a black border, they're very easy to read that way.

Whoops I just reread your post and I don't even think you were asking about that... lol disregard my stupid post.
