Hi all,

Just swapped out my Antec Earthwatts 650 for a Modular OCZ ModXStream 700. I noticed when gaming, loading photoshop, etc (full load) the PSU makes a high-pitched 'squealing' noise. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the ModXStream? Any solutions?

Thanks,

It's most likely coil whine, in which case there's really nothing you can do about it.

My OCZ 700W GameStream also produces some coil noise (not loud but noticeable) under heavy load with core i7 and GTX 260+. I now have a 750W corsair and it also has coil noise under load but it's not very noticeable.

With today's high power PC coil noise is becoming more common. I would not worry about the noise unless it starts getting loud.
