Hi. I have a Scorpio 868 case that came with a 420W PSU. The PSU worked fine for me under normal operation. I OC'd my processor from 2.4 to 3 GHz. After that, my computer started hanging up and not shutting down properly all the time. The hangs aren't that frequent. I thought that the hanging might be due to my RAM, so I ran mem test and tried taking different sticks out, but that didn't help any.

There is no vcore setting in my mobo, so I think that that might be the problem, but I'm not sure. I was wondering if this hanging is due to my vcore or my PSU. I noticed that Newegg had an OCZ Modstream on sale, and I want to know if buying it will stop my hanging and possibly allow me to OC further. The +12V rail fluctuates between 11.6 and 11.7 volts Thanks for your help.
 
We need some more information in order to do anything other than guess. Please list your motherboard manuf and model number. Please list the power supply manufacture and model, or better yet the information found on the sticker on the side of the power supply as to the voltages and currents it puts out.

Hi. I saved my sig with my specs,but it dosen't seem to be updating. Here are my specs

Hi. I plugged in a USB device yesterday, and the computer rebooted. Also, the +3.3V rail is at 3.1V. I am not sure if this is good or bad. Thanks for your help.
 
From what I understand, RaidMax is one of those "Not to be trusted" PSUs. I had a RaidMax in my old system, and encountered no problems, but others were not so lucky. Hop on over to the Power Supply forum, and mention that you have a RaidMax. They'll smack you around a bit, and then give you a good lead as to what you should be replacing it with.
