Did an OC project for fun. Thought I would share. I know Crysis AND the chip are old news, so don't bitch :)

Test system:

Celeron E1200 @ 1.6ghz (8x200fsb ) & 3.3ghz (8x413 fsb & 1.51 vcore)
2 x 2gb PCZ Gold DDR2 800mhz
MSI P43 Neo3 Rev. 1 w/ Zalman CPNS 9900 for cooling
EVGA 9800gtx+ (740/1836/2200)
Corsair 620w PSU
WD Caviar SE 500gb HDD
Windows 7 Build 7100

All settings were set to "high" for both CPU and GPU. Each consists of 1280x1024 & 1920x1200 resolution.

Benchmark program used was from Hardware OC.

CPU test 2 (ice):

Celeron E1200 @ 1.6ghz:

Celeron E1200 @ 3.3ghz:

Conroe/Allendale/Wolfdale comparison chart @ Tech ARP

GPU test (ice) (ran twice for accuracy):

Celeron E1200 @ 1.6ghz:

Celeron E1200 @ 3.3ghz:

@ 1.6ghz:

1280x1024 = 28 fps average
1920x1200 = 22 fps average

@ 3.3ghz:

1280x1024 = 35 fps average
1920x1200 = 26 fps average

According to this benchmark (which is similar to my main CPU, the E6300 running @ 2.8ghz) the X6800 @ 2.93 (with a Raptor and PC2 8500 DDR2) achieves 36.3 fps average @ 1280x1024 and 21.9 fps @ 1920x1200.

I will post back with the Crysis "in-game demo" results for more accurate comparison to the PC Perspective benchmarks.

*edit:

Here are the results of the in-game benchmark for the Celeron E1200 @ 3.3 to match the settings of this benchmark.

32 (Celeron) vs. 36 (Core 2) @ 1280x1024

21 (Celeron) vs. 21.9 (Core 2) @ 1920 x1200

Not too shabby for 45$ when considering the original price of the X6800 ($999) :)

(Okay thats a bit exaggerated due too the cache, but still..)

Yeah these things eat the voltage too. I'm curious about the E1600 now. Might try the E5200 next.
