I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I am curious. Is it possible for an OC of 2800MHz to be stable @ lets say 1.6v but not @ 1.63v? or stable @ 1.58v but not @ 1.66v?

Also, one more thing...would prime fail becuase of OCed ram not getting enough voltage? And what would be the best way to test an OC on RAM? I dont wanna run memtest for 24 hours becuase then i wouldnt have access to my comp...a game? prog? I know some people do battlefield 2 for hours or some super pi sessions...
 
I know I have an overclocking stability problem going too high of a vcore despite the low load temp. My system is stable at 2900 at 1.58 to 1.6V. However, going to 1.70V and it will lock up...at 1.65V, the system will be prime unstable...
 
whats the maximum safe voltage for a northbridge chip? Right now mines @ 1.6v and my LDT is @ at 1.5 (max on my board) I put 280x10 on my CPU w/ a Vcore of 1.6v and that was stable running a 5:6 divider (RAM would be @ 233MHz). My RAM is good @ 280MHz by itself but when i do a 1:1 280MHz, prime fails :( and 3dmark05 crashes :(

Probably, depends on your cpu. I wouldnt go over 1.6 on a 90nm, but my 130nm clawhammer can take voltages up to 1.85 and above(well, not too much further...).
