ocing a 9600 possible?

I hear somewhere that a normal non pro 9600 cant be ocd because of its drivers well I tried to anyway and I tried to run aquamark 3 but it crashed I tried playing battlefield and it crashed too and that only happened after I oc'd. and heats not a problem since I only tried ocing it like 5 mhz
