I have a humble i7 950 that I had clocked at a very modest 3.8Ghz. Last week I reset the bios and left he processor at stock speed and noticed a shit ton less heat in my office.

How much excess heat is produced on this chip with the overclock? I mean my office, by mid afternoon, has got to be a full 10 degrees cooler than before.
 
There is really no way to know the extra amount in watts of heat being dumped into the case from the OC, as that has to do with allot of things including frequency, voltage and load.
 
Power goes up linearly with frequency and with the square of the voltage. You do the math.
My overclocked FX8150 heats up my office nicely (by at least 10C) if I run Prime overnight.
