nVidia Surround question

Hi guys,

I run a GTX570 SLI config to push Dell Ultrasharp U2410s in surround. Currently using them in portrait mode to play some D3.

I was thinking of going back to landscape mode for LoL and Skyrim, and I only want to play on one monitor and use the other two for other stuff in the background (redditing, music, stat monitors, etc.)

My question is: how do I get the game to display on only one monitor and not black out the other two screens? I've tried a couple of tricks like playing games in windowed mode and the likes, but that adversely affects my frame rate (especially in Metro and Crysis) I was hoping for a solution like the 6xx series to where you can have multiple monitors configured to one card and not have all three stitched together in surround mode. Is there some way to do that and maintain SLI in the middle monitor for games without having to disable the third monitor?

This issue is bothering me enough to make me want to sell my monitors and buy something in the 27" or 30" range... Oh first-world problems...

I'd really appreciate it if someone had a suggestion to my "problem"

You really can't. The only thing you can do is connect your other monitors to another graphics card not part of SLI / Surround. Anything with more than one port for monitors will do. Then you could do anything you wanted on the other two monitors and run the game on the main monitor with SLI enabled.

Other than that, you are pretty much SOL.
