does anyone know the price of this card?

I have win xp. My question is. I do alot of video editing in shake 3.0 for linux and combustion 3.0 what do these card do? when you render a file out does it do it faster? It just makes the playback in the program smoother and it takes less time for the computer to add a effect to your project right? also I hear its the same GPU used in the geforce. hacked drivers so I can have the best of both worlds?

Thanks

it will cost thousand of dollars and is only usefull if you do tons of 3D modeling and such.

Its more for 3d animation, but im sure that combustion wouldn't mind the video boost, with all those particle effects and such. And your looking at $1300.00 plus for the card.

Oh and I failed to mention that you could get the ATi equal the FireGL 9800 X2-256t. It performs just as good, and based on the 9800s. The big differance is price, its only $750.00, much less than what nVidia wants $1300.00

actually in the pro card realm ATI doesn't really hold a candle to NVIDIA, even in the nv3x generation NVIDIA's pro cards kicked ATI's butt. (a major peace of that comes by virtue of the fact that most apps run on pro cards are OGL.
oh yeah, expect to pay about $1500 for the quadro 4000, there will be lesser models based on the nv4x cores that will cost less though, but as the quadro fx 3000 cost $1500 and filled the same market segment, that is what I would expect to pay. (and then you have the cards with genlock, that cost $3000 a piece)
