The Tegra 4 demonstration was BS - it was running the old stock Android browser while the Nexus 10 was using Chrome

I don't think cloud gaming will become terribly popular in the near future. Bandwidth / connection quality is the big bottleneck.

Places like here in Ontario Canada, the usage caps are pitiful even on the highest tier residential plans (roughly 175gb/month max, 80gb/month average). Then there is the matter of speed and reliability of the connection required to stream full screen games without noticable compression artifacts.

Yep, exactly what I was thinking. I don't see it working that well. I'm from Edmonton, Alberta and bandwidth may not be too big of a problem for me here its still not going to be as responsive as I would like it. Especially FPS.
 
The end was kind of interesting to me. I've been interested in home/consumer level streaming solutions (similar to internet game streaming services like OnLive and etc.) allowing connecting devices like weaker laptops, tablets, phones, or the TV to a more powerful desktop. While not exactly what I want, since it seems to be PC to Shield to TV only, it is nice to see some development in this direction and that the hardware is inherently already capable of doing so.

I think it will go the way of On-Live personally. I don't think it will take nVidia with it or anything, i just don't see that project being entirely successful. With Intel doing a reasonably good job with their IGP's in SB and IB, and continuing to improve with Hawell, as well as AMD having a strong IGP, I just don't see the need for streaming your graphics when you have something built into your computer already, without paying extra for that can do the job of rendering on it's own.

I thought Grid is supposed to be the business oriented cloud gaming hardware platform? Companies like OnLive would buy Grid to support their offerings rather than a consumer offering.
