Nvidia GPU client slowing down computer...

Has anyone had problems with the F@H Version 7 client slowing down their computers to the point where it's "bogging"?

Gforce 550TI, latest Nvidia drivers.

Yeh it has always caused what I like to describe as "hitching" (little micro pauses) on my PCs. I just pause it when I'm doing anything. The main thing I've noticed it causing these little pauses with is Internet Explorer.

usually happens more often when you have your card overclocked.

If it's mainly with IE, try selecting.....
"Tools: Internet Options: Advanced: Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering*".
That solved the annoying slowness in updating web pages for me.

I am having a similar slowdown issue with my stock clocked GTX 465 and web browsing but Firefox is the offender.

In Firefox try this - Options -> Advanced -> uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available".

No overclocking on the card.

Core32 and Tkam....both of your suggestions worked like a charm. Thanks for that nugget of info. So much easier to let that system fold now that my wife can surf with that computer.
