Ok so i have winxp running on my maxtor 160gig and i have a maxtor 80gig slave as a FAT32 storage drive. my problem is, sometimes i do not need the slave drive to be running, so i un-huck the molex power from the slave then boot windows from my 160gig maxtor but sometimes i get the blue screen of death? is this normal?
is there any way i can perform the unpluging of the slave without getting any windows errors?
basicly all im doing is leaveing the slave IDE cable pluged in, but just un pluging the power via the molex.
any clues how i can disable the slave from time to time without any problems?
