Soyo Dragon KT-333 Lite Motherboard, northbridge is barely spinning. Actual heatsink MIGHT pass for room temperature, probably cooler. Am I in any danger if this fan fails? I have about 7 fans pushing air in and out of the machine so it stays pretty cool but I don't want to cook the northbridge and be out teh cost of a new board. :cool:
 
A lot of Motherboard's have Passive HSF's and they work fine, some had none at all. I think that you will be all set.

HSF is with a fan silly. You can't have a passive HSF cuz it has a fan. fan fan fan

Also without water cooling or something your HS won't go below room temp.

It should probably be fine without the fan however.
