So not sure if anybody is familiar with flight sim 2004 performance, but i just upgraded my video card. Here are my specs below:
P4 3.0E GHz, HT Enabled
1024 Mb PC3200 DDR400 RAM
P4P800 SE MB (800 FSB)
PNY GeForce 6800 GT 256 Mb AGP 8x
InWin 430W case
61.77 display driver installed
Other than that, in flight I get amazin frame rates, up to 70 sometimes, averaging around 40-60.
Traffic is 100%, and again everything else is except Mip Map is 5 and weather and draw distance isn't full to the right.
I am running it on application preference for AA and AF, performance mode, and Vsync on.
Not sure why I can't even get the fps that other guys with even an FX5950 card can get with flight sim maxed out?
Also..when I made the switch from my 9800 to thr 6800 GT, I went into control panel and uninstalled the drivers. Did this "clean" my system enough? I was sure to disable the anti-virus software before installing the drivers. BIOS settings look good, no problems I can see. Any ideas?
