NORMAL LAYOUT lit keyboards?

I'm looking for normal layout lit keyboards. The layout with \ above enter and the big backspace key. Either a backlit like EL wire snaked in between the keys, or eluminix style (who, IIRC, have the stupid small backspace layout, which I HATE)

Yeah, those types with the smally backspace keys aren't for people like me that tend to hit the backspace key more than the spacebar some days.

You could always mod your own.

I think the best way to do this would be to use EL Sheet. It would prolly be pretty easy really, and would be a good fun project... But, if you're looking for a retail solution, I've seen a few different models at Fry's. Not sure on the specifics though...

A small Cold Cathode Light might do the trick in the right place, but then the glow wouldn't be uniform, maybe use more than 1.

I don't think there's room for a CCFL in most keyboards. There isn't in any I've used anyway...

i have a misplaced delete key on mine, thats the biggest problem i have.

I have a Zboard, ideazon.com, I got it at a lanparty... its very akward to have a spacebar cut in half. I got used to it though. =)

I have been looking for these for quite a while. The closest they have come is a multimedia lit keyboard http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/kbd-21.html

Notice it's still not full size and has some shrunk keys, which just doesn't work for big hands.

When you find one, make sure and let me know. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

My buddy has a keyboard on one of his machines that has a split spacebar. It's terribly annoying since the left side is a second backspace key and I use my left had for spacing.

think i might have to mod my own keyboard too...dont like those smaller keys

maybe if i can get transparent buttons then do the EL sheet or wires myself! how does EL wire or sheets power though?

I have this keyboard and its definitely not full-size. I was disapointed, but it was only $30 and it has multimedia keys unlike the zippys or the illuminex.
