My computer is the one in the sig. Back story (this might be relevant) Yesterday I was playing fable 3 (just got the game 2 days ago) for a solid 5 or so hours. After this time the game starts to flicker. Entire cityscapes are flickering fairly fast my character is flickering also almost like it was artifacting but it seemed more like the shitty game engine.The game flashes to a cut scene then goes back to the same area and the screen flickers one last time and it is back to normal (by flickering I mean aspects of the picture flicker the screen never went entirely black. I never saw it do it the rest of the day. Sunday I also attached and disconnected a fan. and cleaned my computer of dust. I used a rag on the fans and grills and q-tips on the chords and HDD. There was not much dust so I did not spend but 5 minutes inside there. Just a preventative measure.

Well I wake up this morning and turn my computer on and it hangs at the windows load screen right after my HDD Light cuts off. I hard restart and try windows launch recovery or whatever and I get a blue screen. I do not remember seeing the BSOD code plus this blue screen looked different than the others I have seen in the past. It said that it was a hardware failure and that I should check any new hardware I had installed and blah blah blah. Well my first thought was I had screwed up the HDD or it had died on me. So I open up the bios and the HDD seems to be fine. then I have a thought.

I remember reading about how Sandy bridge cpu's have an initial degredation period where they require a slight raise in voltage after a couple of weeks. So I raise the dvid from .090 to .095 and the computer boots right up.I bought my cpu 5 months ago. I started overclocking 3 months ago. This is more than a couple of weeks so My question is what is going on...sorry for the lengthy description I just wanted to be concise. Did I damage my cpu with 1.355 +.090 I have never seen the chip go above 1.420 since I switched to DVID and load I see around 1.396 to 1.410 depending on the task. Did I damage my HDD cleaning or my CPU. I am going to restart the computer later and lower the voltage again and see if it hangs again or if it was just a coincidence that raising the voltage brought stability
 
Well I tried lowering the DVID back down to .090 and it booted up fine. I dont know what was up could have been a fluke...IDK. If anyone has any advice then let me know.
