pulled a Samsung 160gb IDE hard drive from my xbox, put it in my computer, it comes up in the bios and in system hard ware, but wont show up in windows for some reason.

I did this before with a Maxtor and I could have sworn i used some other software to detect it.

What do i need to do?
 
alright thanks that helped, got it to show up as a drive, but when i open that drive to get to whatever i have on it, it says i'm going to have to reformat it, and doing so will defeat the purpose of putting this hard drive in here.

Is there a way I can get the info off of it without having to reformat?
 
That probably depends on how the xbox formatted the drive. Since windows isn't reading it I assume it's niether FAT or NTFS. Hopefully you can find a driver somewhere that can.
